A light yet steady drizzle falling through the low clouds made for an interesting evening for photos. As long as you can keep your camera gear somewhat dry in this type of weather, it makes for really ‘moody’ photos, especially at night in a bright big city environment. Such was the case as an Amtrak Lincoln Service train, only two minutes short of its arrival at Union Station, rounded the bend off of the old GM&O and rumbled across the Lumber St. lift bridge. Just as the train set off the crossing flashers for Lumber Street, an old car pulled up to the gates to wait for the short train to pass. Both the headlights of the train and the car meet and highlight the falling rain and overall dampness of this night in the city.
