Last Friday night, I was wandering around the Loop on a rainy spring evening trying to find unique views of the city. For me, unique usually means getting some elevation on the scene, and in the Loop, a lot of times, this means climbing up in a parking garage. I ended up in a garage right over the Madison/Wabash El station around Midnight, looking down on the shelter keeping people waiting for the train out of the rain(which had for the most part stopped for the evening by now anyway), and also keeping those people out of sight from above. Since it was Midnight, there weren’t too many people waiting, either. However, one lady was on the platform, and I thought it was neat as she sat on a bench and kicked her shoes off for some extra comfort during the long, late night wait for an El train.
